Action Leaders Are Better Than Thought Leaders

Welcome to the very first ETI Blog. I like to call it the ETI Action Leaders Blog because while we think thought leadership is important, action leadership is much more relavent to our customers. We know that our customers - which number just under 100 telcos, munis, and broadband providers of all sizes across North America - need more than ideas in order to be competitive and successful. And ETI has earned a reputation for fast reliable deployments. We really do "Get You There Faster."

That being said, as the marketing specialist for ETI, I have pushed our management and our engineers to be more proactive in the realm of action-oriented thought leadership. After all, in about 99% of meetings at ETI, there are nuggets of wisdom to be shared and experiences that can help providers in their daily operations and challenges.

So my mission, if I choose to accept it, is to capture the knowledge the ETI team uses every day to get things done - and turn it into actionable info that readers across the World Wide Web can use.

My first step was to recruit Brad Hine, Product Manager for Overture GIS, ETI's mapping, , to delve into one  of the most important issues facing service providers today: reducing churn. Brad will be sharing how telcos can best attack this problem.

Take it away, Brad!
